Before level 6, Katarina can engage actively using Voracity [P] to deal damage and eventually securing a kill, but Yasuo’s Wind Wall (W) will make it difficult. Katarina is at a disadvantage after level 6 as Wind Wall (W) can block all the damage of Death Lotus [R]. Roaming to other lanes to win the games is also a good strategy.
